-Seph, apo ni Nanay at Tatay
Seph is a University of Texas graduate whose adventurous career has taken her to diverse and often challenging contingent environments across Europe, the Middle East, and the Bahamas. These global experiences, marked by resilience and adaptability, have deepened her appreciation for the quiet strength she inherited from her roots.
She is the cherished apo raised from birth by her beloved Tatay and Nanay, who nurtured her through every season of her early life. Her toddler years unfolded in the lush landscapes of Bulacan province, while her formative and adolescent years bloomed in a close-knit small village in Zambales, surrounded by the simple rhythms of rural Filipino life. Though she had no brothers of her own, she grew up embraced by many older boys she fondly called Kuya—protective figures who added layers of camaraderie, guidance, and quiet guardianship to her world.
Shaped by Tatay's timeless life lessons, Nanay's unwavering love, the profound truth that "it takes a village to raise a child" (as explored in one heartfelt section of the book), and the steadfast care of those Kuyas, Seph was nurtured into a quiet strength—equipped with the confidence to tackle life's hurdles and prepared for a life brimming with endless adventures.
Now, with gratitude and courage, she shares those moonlit memories and stories with the world.
Salamat sa pagsama. — Seph
Moonlit Memories: Who We Are
From Moonlit Childhood to Shared Stories
We are stories born beneath the glow of a clear moon—hearts that quietly resist the shadows, waiting for the right moment to shine. Like the moon that softly pierces the night, we are here to bring light to tales, memories, and dreams often hidden in the daylight.
At the heart of these pages stands the narrator—Seph, a quiet witness who first learned to look up under the bright lady moon instead of running away. Patient and luminous, she never hurried the words; she simply stayed, steady and kind, allowing mystery to remain mystery.
Through Seph's eyes, we glimpse a father's tired smile, a village that claimed every child as its own, lessons in Taglish and laughter, early heartaches, late apologies, and one stubborn heart whispering, “Tapusin mo na.” These are honest stories—imperfect, with dirt under the fingernails and gratitude too big for words—yet they feel like coming home.
Here, in the cool embrace of moonlight, we open the secrets of the soul, celebrate the beauty of Filipino feeling, and weave new beginnings from ancient stars. We are not perfect, but we are true—full of hope, love, and resilience like shadows dancing in moonlight.
We beneath the bright moon
Quiet light in the heart of darkness.
Stories of love, hope, and enduring strength.
This is where we live—and where we grow.
Together, let us face the night. Under the bright moonlight, we are alive, we are free, we are home.
